To put it mildly, there is nothing like Ripley’s Aquarium for miles and miles around. To put it more accurately, Ripley’s Aquarium in the Smokies is probably the highest profile attraction in the city of Gatlinburg and an attraction you and your family certainly shouldn’t miss.

All the rivers and oceans of the world congregate to the Smokies under this roof, and everything you’ve ever wanted to see up-close without fear of getting eaten is on display throughout. You’ve got huge, colorful schools of fish, large, flowing manta rays, tiny poisonous frogs (behind reinforced glass of course!) and the crowd-pleasers: the sharks.

Ripley’s Aquarium has so much influence in town that it is the central hub of the Gatlinburg trolley system as well as the center of many special events in the area. See more on Ripley’s Aquarium at
